Michael E. Russell, II M.D. is board certified, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Russell specializes in the treatment of spine injury, deformity, and degeneration. His interests include decompression for lumbar spinal stenosis and “Gunshot Fractures of the Femur”.

Degrees and Education
Dr. Russell received his medical degree (M.D.) in 1991 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, Texas. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas in 1987.
Awards and Appointments
Michael E. Russell, II M.D. is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha “Medical Honor Society”. He was a part of the Engineering Honors Program from 1983 – 1987. Russell received the Ernest Cockrell, Jr. Foundation Scholarship from 1983 – 1987. He was on the Dean’s Honor List from 1983 – 1986. Michael received the Chemical Engineering Academic Scholarship in 1986.
