William E. Schreiber, M.D. is board certified, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Schreiber specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, total knee replacements and sports medicine.
“I have always been interested in knee surgery and sports medicine. When arthroscopic surgery became available in the late 1970’s, I went for training in Michigan and introduced this surgery to East Texas. I am interested in patient-physician communication and am currently teaching these skills to residents in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.”
Degrees and Education
Dr. Schreiber received his medical degree (M.D.) in 1969 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas. He completed his first residency in General and Internal Medicine at Dallas V.A. Hospital from 1969 – 1971. William did his second residency in Orthopedic and General surgery at Baylor Affiliated Hospital from 1972 – 1975.
