Ryan W. Patterson, M.D. has a strong interest in improving the quality of life of patients with problems with their hand, forearm, elbow, upper arm, shoulder, adult brachial plexus injuries as well as with general fractures.

“Injuries or conditions involving the hand, arm or shoulder can be very painful and debilitating. My goal is to always make sure my patients understand their treatment options and how best for us to work together to heal the condition and relieve the pain.”

Degrees and Education
Dr. Patterson received his medical degree (M.D.) in 2005 from University of California, Irvine School of Medicine: Doctor of Medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 1997. Ryan graduated with his Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2001. He interned in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio from 2005 – 2006. Patterson completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio from 2006 – 2010. His fellowship was in Hand, Upper Extremity & Microvascular Surgery at the West Forest University, Winston, and North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Salem, North Carolina from 2010 – 2011.

Awards and Appointments
Ryan W. Patterson, M.D. is Candidate Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and a Resident Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His licensure is from the state of Texas.
