MEDICAL ASSISTANT (FT) – PALESTINE URGENT CARE 

Medical Assistance / Front Desk Float:  The Medical Assistants work closely with patients and under the supervision of Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants.  Medical assistants spend a significant amount of time working directly with patients obtaining medical history information; checking vital signs; performing tests; collecting specimens and administering injections/medications.  Entering patient data in CPSI. They will also perform the administrative tasks such as but not limited to maintaining compliance records; inventory & ordering supplies.  Front desk responsibilities include and not limited to answering all external calls; greeting every patient that arrives in the lobby of TSJH Urgent Care.  They will review and scan ID & insurance cards, verification of benefits, LOP orders and any other vital information that is forwarded to him/her to enter in CPSI.  Will ensure the lobby is always well maintained.  Admit patients into CPSI & notify the Medical Assistant that they have a patient ready.  Collect co-pays and run a daily report balancing all money collected.   Primary location: Palestine (secondary location: Tyler on occasion)  Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.  Must hold a current MA license/certification.   Experience in a clinic or hospital required.

 

STAFF NURSE RN DAY (FT) – INPATIENT CARE UNIT

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.  The RN ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. Unit is open 24 hours 7 days a week.  Staff self-schedule.  Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.  At least 6 months experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit. RN, current in the State of Texas.  Current ACLS or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.  Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.  Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.  Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

 

PHYSICAL THERAPIST CLINIC (FT) – LONGVIEW 

Experience in outpatient orthopedics physical therapy required.  Physical Therapist must be able to provide direct patient care, evaluate patient’s case history, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions to determine the patients’ potential for rehabilitation. Physical Therapist will establish and administer treatment programs with specific goals defined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance and in accordance with physician orders. Physical therapist will educate patient, document and record the patient’s condition and provide continuing updates on patient condition.  Requirements include: Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.  Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist / PT or actively in the application process.  Current CPR certification.

 

OPERATING ROOM AIDE (FT) – MAIN OR 

The OR Aide works under the direct supervision of the OR Clinical Director.  It is his/her duty to provide the operating room personnel ancillary assistance in delivering quality patient care in the preoperative phase to minimize risks for the patient undergoing surgery.  Assist in setting up the surgical suite, cleans OR suites between cases, and maintains flash sterilization, Steris Chemical Sterilizer, medication refrigerator, and bone freezer tests and records daily.  High school certificate or equivalency, previous experience as OR Aide preferred, general computer skills, must have at least one year of hospital experience.

 

RN PREOPERATIVE (PRN) – MAIN 

Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, CPR and ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months.  One (1) year minimum experience required.  Must be able to work 2 days a week.

 

RN OPERATING ROOM CIRCULATOR (FT) – MAIN HOSPITAL

Progressive Operating Room utilizing the shared governess model. Minimum of 2 years recent OR experience in a hospital or multi specialty ASC required.  No weekends and no holidays.  Required to be in call rotation.  Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current RN license to practice in the State of Texas. Current American Heart ACLS certification and experience working as an OR RN required. ACLS within 6 months of hire if not current.

 

MLT/MT (PRN) – LABORATORY

Our laboratory has a need to supplement its coverage, and this is a great opportunity to use your skills in our full-service hospital laboratory. We are Joint Commission accredited, performing testing in chemistry, hematology, transfusion services, coagulation, urinalysis, and limited microbiology. The right candidate for this position must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and work independently.  Phlebotomy experience is a must.  Experience with Ortho Vitros and Orchard Harvest is a plus for this candidate.  Must be ASCP certified MLT/MT or equivalent with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory.  The hours on the weekend are from 5am to 9am. The employee will need to cover call one week per month. On-call starts on Monday, ends Sunday. The employee who is on call during the weekday, works the weekend and takes the call. On-call time starts at 6pm to 5am on weekdays.
