TRIFECTA RN (FT) OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

Minimum of 2 years previous OR experience in a hospital based OR or a multi-specialty ASC OR.  Previous Stage 1 PACU experience or Pre-op experience preferred.  Will orient and work in all three perioperative areas (Pre-op, OR, and PACU).  Will work 10 hour days/ 4 days per week with a set day off. Premium differential paid for this position upon successful completion of the 4 month orientation.   Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Texas. Current American Heart BLS certification and experience working as a circulator required. BSN preferred.  ACLS within 6 months of hire.

 

ATHLETIC TRAINER (FT) SPORTS MEDICINE

BSWTSJH is looking for Athletic Trainers to be imbedded in sports medicine programs for local colleges and high school settings in the Greater Tyler Texas area.

Individuals will be working in a small college or high school setting as a staff Athletic Trainer. All BSWTSJH athletic trainers collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, x-ray personal, and therapist.

Staff athletic trainers will be under the supervision of the school Athletic Director or Head Athletic Trainer along with the Director of Sports Medicine Outreach for Baylor Scott $ White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital.

Job requirements include care and prevention of athletic injury, rehabilitation, travel with high-risk sports, practice and game coverage, and training room management.

These positions are dedicated to the school and have minimal outside requirements. If work not related to the school is asked additional compensation will be added for that event.

Salary range between $50,000 – $65,000 depending on experience and degree level: included is health insurance, 401k, CEU allotment, BOC renewal, Texas License reimbursement.

Candidates must be eligible for Texas State Licensure.  (This means anyone who has graduated from an accredited program after 2004 and is eligible for the BOC exam or anyone who has completed an internship program with 1800 contact hours and courses completed that are required to sit for the Texas State Licensure exam)  Candidates who are already BOC certified do not have to sit for the Texas State Licensure exam.

HOUSEKEEPER (FT) 3PM – 11:30PM M – F MAIN HOSPITAL

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping manager, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for environmental cleaning and disinfecting. This individual performs a variety of routine cleaning functions in assigned area to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.  Completion of high school education or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.  At least two to six months of experience as a housekeeper. Hospital experience preferred.  Possess the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.  Possess the ability to perform routine repetitive cleaning of assigned patient rooms, offices, rest rooms and other areas. Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.  Possess the ability to perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

 

SURGERY CENTER DIRECTOR (FT) – OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

The Director has overall responsibility for the patient care services delivered to patients in Preop, the O.R. suite, Sterile Processing, Radiology, and PACU. The Director is responsible for Housekeeping and works in conjunction with their colleagues overseeing Admissions, Materials Management and Pharmacy. The Director works under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for staffing (hiring, scheduling, evaluating and counseling) in the department.  The Director ensures compliance in the department with accrediting bodies and applicable state rules and regulations and CMS. He/she serves as a member of hospital leadership; is responsible for assisting in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget, represents the department in management committees, and works in conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer to maintain excellence in clinical practice.   This position also has responsibility for leading hospital compliance with safety and disaster preparedness at the Outpatient Surgery Center.

A minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in an acute care setting. Minimum of seven (7) years pertinent clinical experience is required.  Good working knowledge of hospital IT systems required.  RN surgical experience required.  Position is a working manager and will float into the OR as needed.  Position requires a BSN/Registered Nurse in Texas in good standing, BLS certification and ACLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire. Graduate degree preferred; Certification preferred.

 

PCT/CNA (FT) – OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

Must have previous CNA or PCT hospital experience.  M-F position 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

 

SURGICAL TECH (FT) – OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER  NEW POSITION.  Great salary and working conditions.   No weekends, no call and no Holidays.  Certification required.  Minimum 2 years recent scrub experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.  Position is day hours, Monday-Friday.

 

STAFF NURSE RN (FT) – PACU OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

The position is located at Texas Spine and Joint Hospital in Tyler, Texas.  The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.  Previous PACU experience preferred or 2 year’s recent experience in ICU or ER, RN current in the State of Texas, BLS, current ACLS preferred or included in education plan.

 

STAFF NURSE RN (PRN) – PreOp and PACU OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

PreOp and PACU PRN positions covering shifts working 4 days per week 10-hour shifts during the week..  No weekends, call, or holidays. Previous PreOp/PACU experience preferred or 2 year’s recent experience in ICU or ER.

 

HOUSEKEEPER (PRN) – OUTPATIENT SURGICAL CENTER

Perform environmental service duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. The housekeeper will also perform according to the established procedures a standard terminal cleaning of the surgery department following the completion of all surgeries for that day.  Housekeeping experience required, prefer experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.   No weekends or holidays.  Hours are Monday-Friday.

 

SURGICAL TECH (PRN) – OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

Great working conditions.   No weekends, no call and no Holidays.  Certification required.  Minimum 2 years recent scrub experience in a hospital or multispecialty ASC.  Position is day hours.  Employees work Monday-Friday and 10 hour shifts.

 

SURGICAL TECH (PRN) – MAIN HOSPITAL 

Work in a state of the art facility.  Experience and certification required.  Position days M-F.  No scheduled weekends or holidays.

 

PREOP/PACU STAFF NURSE (PRN) – MAIN HOSPITAL OR

Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, CPR and ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months.  One (1) year minimum experience required.

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANT (FT FLOAT) – URGENT CARE

A medical assistant’s clinical duties include taking patients’ medical history, preparing each patient for exams, checking vital signs, informing patients of treatment procedures, and occasionally performing lab tests. The position will also provide coverage as needed at other Urgent Cares in Athens and Palestine.  Minimum of one-year related experience in a healthcare facility. Certification preferred or must obtain within 1 year of employment.  Must be able to work from 7am – 8pm rotating days during the week and rotating Saturdays.

 

C.N.A. (FT NIGHTS) – INPATIENT CARE UNIT

Looking for experienced C.N.A.  Must have one year of hospital C.N.A. experience and must hold current C.N.A. certification. Requires current BLS or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.  We self-schedule with guidelines.  Unit is open 7 days a week/ 24 hours a day.

 

STAFF NURSE (PRN DAYS OR NIGHTS) – INPATIENT CARE UNIT (IPCU)

We need an RNs who can fill in days and/or nights for IPCU.   We are looking for experienced surgical, med-surg, recovery, pre-post nurses to expand our RN Pool.  As full-time positions open, we will make every effort to promote from this Pool of nurses. Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, CPR, and ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire required for RNs.  Orthopedic experience preferred. 

 

STAFF NURSE RN (One FT DAYS and One FT NIGHTS) IPCU

Self-scheduling shifts, some weekend shifts required. IPCU is open 7 days a week, 24 hours. Current RN licensure in the State of Texas and CPR certification required. One (1) year minimum experience required in a hospital setting.  We have one FT Night position and one FT Day position open.
