STAFF NURSE PACU RN (FT) – OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER

Progressive Outpatient Surgical Unit utilizing the shared governance model. Minimum of 2 years recent ICU or PACU experience in a hospital or multi-specialty ASC required.  No weekends, no call and no holidays.  8-hour shifts.  Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current RN license to practice in the State of Texas. Current American Heart BLS certification with ACLS requirement within 6 months of hire.

 

DIETITIAN, CLINICAL (REGISTERED) PRN 

Plans menus and diets for patients and/or cafeteria.  Provides diet counseling to patients.  Bachelor’s Degree and Registered Dietitian.

 

STAFF NURSE RN DAY (FT) – INPATIENT CARE UNIT

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.  The RN ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. Unit is open 24 hours 7 days a week.  Staff self-schedule.  Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.  At least 6 months experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.  RN, current in the State of Texas.  BLS.  Current ACLS preferred or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.  Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment. Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit. Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

 

MRI TECH (PRN) – RADIOLOGY 

Looking for a MRI Tech PRN.  Exhibit competent age specific skills in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient needs before and during X-ray procedure.  Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT in Radiology and licensed with the State of Texas.  Current CPR certification.  Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology. AART Registered and CPR Current. Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations. Must possess independent decision making skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.  Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.

 

FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR (FT) 

Directs and manages the food service activities for a medical facility.  Plans menus and develops food preparation and serving procedures.  Ensures productivity and financial goals are met.  Supervise staff.  Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years hospital food service experience and minimum 3 years management experience.

 

RN OPERATING ROOM (PRN) – MAIN HOSPITAL

Progressive Operating Room utilizing the shared governess model. Minimum of 2 years recent OR experience in a hospital or multi specialty ASC required.  No weekends and no holidays.  Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current RN license to practice in the State of Texas. Current American Heart BLS or ACLS certification and experience working as an OR RN required. ACLS within 6 months of hire.

 

HOUSEKEEPER (PRN) – OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER 

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for environmental cleaning and disinfecting. This individual performs a variety of routine cleaning functions in assigned area to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.  Facility is open Monday – Friday.  Primary hours will be 3pm – 11:30pm as needed.  Occasional day shift coverage may be needed.  Completion of high school education or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write and follow instructions. At least two to six months of experience as an Environment Attendant. Hospital experience preferred.  Possess the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.  Possess the ability to perform routine repetitive cleaning of assigned patient rooms, offices, rest rooms and other areas.  Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.  Possess the ability to perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

 

DIRECTOR OF LABORATORY SERVICES (FT)

Join our leadership team as the Director of Laboratory Services in our full-service hospital laboratory.  Our laboratory is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Director ensures compliance with The Joint Commission, CLIA and CMS.  The Director works closely with the Laboratory Medical Director and is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the laboratory, including monitoring of the department’s budget, the employment and scheduling of competent personnel, review of all testing (including proficiency testing) and equipment management.  The Director works with laboratory staff and other departments on Performance Improvement projects and quality assurance.  The Director is the site administrator for Orchard Harvest LIS and previous experience with Orchard Harvest is preferred.  Strong computer skills are required.  The Director must provide accurate reports for various departments throughout the hospital.  Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.  The Director works in conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer to maintain excellence in clinical practice.  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and ASCP or equivalent certification.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory and minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a hospital laboratory setting is required.

 

ATHLETIC TRAINER (FT) – SPORTS MEDICINE

BSWTSJH is looking for Athletic Trainers to be imbedded in sports medicine programs for local high school settings in the Greater Tyler Texas area.  Individuals will be working in a high school setting as a staff Athletic Trainer. All BSWTSJH athletic trainers collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, x-ray personal, and therapist. Staff athletic trainers will be under the supervision of the school Athletic Director or Head Athletic Trainer along with the Director of Sports Medicine for Baylor Scott $ White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital. Job requirements include care and prevention of athletic injury, rehabilitation, travel with high-risk sports, practice and game coverage, and training room management. These positions are dedicated to the school and have minimal outside requirements. If work not related to the school is asked additional compensation will be added for that event. Salary range between $56,000 – $75,000 depending on experience and degree level: included is health insurance, 401k, CEU allotment, BOC renewal, Texas License reimbursement.
